I have a creation to share with you tonight using the beautiful Bed of Roses photostamp by The Stampsmith. I paired it with some dp by My Mind's Eye - Lost of Found Two - Blush and a gorgeous new French Pastry doily die I just bought, by Cheery Lynn Designs.
I distressed the dp with Tea Dye ink used my pastels to colour in the roses in a subtle pink hue. For embellies, I added a little pewter 'Believe' charm and some stunning black tulle roses ribbon. then, more black tulle, pink bling and black photo corners to finish it off.
Thanks for stoppin by! :)

Flying Home
I have a sympathy card to share with you tonight that my hubby asked me to make. I'm not sure if you can see in the picture, but that's a Cessna (4-seater) airplane flying over the clouds, into the sunset. I thought it would be appropriate to give to the wife of a Cessna pilot, who just passed away.
I used a free image I found on the internet, and for the background, I used the Provocraft 'Diamonds in the Rough' embossing folder to add some extra dimension. For the inside of the card, I used one of my favourite sympathy sentiments by Impression Obsession.
May we all have a peaceful flight home, like in this picture.
Rest in peace, Bill.

Brick Wall Silhouette
One of my co-workers asked if I would make her a special 'thinking of you' card for a friend of hers. I saw this Brick Wall technique a long time ago...it's one of the many cards I've been wanting to try and tonight was the night to try it. This is the card I loved and CASED, showcased in the SCS Tutorials. Thanks so much, Birgit, for the inspiration! :)
The bricks were a bit finicky and didn't turn out quite like I wanted, but overall I'm happy with they turned out. I think if I were to completely bow to my OCD, I would have distressed all the edges of all bricks to give them more dimension...just not enough time tonight to do that! lol :)
I used a background stamp by Heartfelt Creations, called "HCPC 3323 Large Elegant Word Background' and the flower and sentiment are both from a Penny Black set, called 'Illumination.' The gorgeous lace is from Fabricville. Gotta love their lace, it's so darn pretty!
I'll have more to share with you soon! Until then...

TSC29: The Colors of Spring
I'm a little late with this card, for the current challenge over at The Stampsmith Challenge, but I figured since I was making Easter cards for my girls, I'd post them for the The Colors of Spring Challenge, as well.
I used the sweet little bunnies and kitties from the Cats plate by The Stampsmith. I've been wanting to use this stamp for a while now and thought it would make a super cute Easter cards for my girls. I think they'll love them. :)
I hope you decide to play along in the fun and enter a card with us. The lucky winner will win an full sheet of stamps from The Stampsmith, a $21 value! :)
Thanks for stoppin' by! :)
