Happy Father's Day, Dad!

I saw this digi image the other day on The Graphics Fairy and knew I wanted to use it for a Father's Day card for my dad. He likes vintage cars, so I think he'll like this card.  Sorry for the washed out picture, it's hard for me to get a picture with the antique brass studs...I should have waited to get a picture in the morning in natural light to avoid using the flash, but I know I won't have time and I wanted to share a card with you, so here it is!  lol  :)

Here's a bit of better picture, not washed out like the one above, but the studs on this one didn't turn out.

Our girls have also made sweet cards for Jim, but he won't be home from sea until this Thursday, so we'll have to have a late Father's Day celebration for him.

OK, time to call it a day.   I'll try to be back soon with something new to share with you.  Until then...

Thanks for stoppin' by! :)

I had a bad migraine today, but I'm feeling much better this evening so I decided to make a quick card.  My friend and co-worker requested that I re-create a card for her Mom that I made last Fall.   Her Mom is looking for some birthdays cards to have on hand and liked this one and asked if I'd make her a few different ones, this being one of them.

Thanks for stoppin' by! :)

More Birthday cards from friends

I've received more birthday cards from friends - I love this time of year - not my birthday so much with the fact that I'm getting older, but I love getting all the special cards!

The card above came from Houston, Texas, from my friend, Yvonne Balmer. I love all the flowers and the beautiful little dragonflies. So pretty! Miss ya, Yvonne!

This beauty is from my friend, Louise Allen.  Oh, Louise, you've outdone yourself with this one!  It's absolutely stunning!  I adore it!

This Alice in Wonderland card is from my friend, Catherine Levy.  What a fun stamp from Sweet Pea Stamps.  Look at that evil Cheshire cat's grin!  lol  :)

Thanks so much, for the beautiful cards, ladies!  I love them!

Sweet Pea Twins

I don't know about anyone else, but I've been having major problems with Blogger for the past few days. I'm assuming it because of the work that they're doing on the site with the design changes, but it's really frustrating! I can't get in to edit my posts and when I try to log in it just keeps going to a blank screen and tries to load, but is unsuccessful. Hopefully it'll be back to normal by tomorrow.

I've made this card before, a CASE from Sunny Stampin'. I love this design that they came up with to use the Baroque flourish as the vines and the little sweet pea babies. Her original was just one sweet pea, but this card was requested by a friend and co-worker of mine for her friend that just had twins. Hope she likes it. :)

Thanks for stoppin' by! :)

It's my Birthday today!

I made this card last night, but I'm having some issues with Blogger and haven't been able to get last night or tonight until now. They must be working on the system...I dunno.   Anyway, I made a card like this a while back for a new baby girl, but a friend of mine asked me to make one for her for a new baby boy, so I had to make one in blue this time. I adore these cute little pot belied animals. Someone said today that they look like the "Little People" farm animals, I think they're right. They make for a cute card - sorry it's not a very good picture!  I was in a hurry and didn't check it on the computer before I gave it to her.  It's not this washed out in real life!  lol   :)

I had a great day today for my birthday.  I had to go to work, but some of the girls took me out to lunch and we had a great time.   Then, I came home to supper all ready as my parents came into the city and brought lasagna and salad with them!  Gotta love coming home from a long day at work to supper all ready for ya!  Then, not one but two kinds of cake  - Yummy!   Anyway, I've had a long few days, so I think I'll be a nerd and actually go to bed early tonight as it's gong to be a very busy weekend, too.

Thanks to everyone for the birthday wishes!  Hugs to you all!

Earth Laughs in Flowers

I received this beautiful card from my friend, Val Wilson. This is such a nice sentiment from Stamp-A-Mania and I absolutely love how she did the flower - it's just stunning in real life. She posted this card and had people leave comments to be put in for a draw to receive one themselves.  You can see her original post here to see how she made it.

Thanks, so much, Val, this beauty has been added to my card display shelf so I can enjoy it each time I have crafty time!  :)

Birthday RAK's

I had a great night out Friday night with a group of my friends. We were celebrating a few birthdays, Kim's was a couple of days ago and Val's and mine are both next week. So, we decided to go out for supper for the evening.  Unfortunately, not everyone in our crafty group could make it, but we had a great time.   I think we all ate way to much, though - but when it's awesome Greek food, it's hard not to! lol :)

This is the gorgeous card that I got from Val Wilson.  I love the butterfly and the colours are amazing!   I've gotta pick up those ink colours!   Thanks so much, Val!  I love it!  :)

A beautiful card from Kelly Eelhart.  I absolutely love this image, she's so beautiful- I think it might possibly be my favourite Sweet Pea stamp.  You did a great job colouring her in, Kel!  Love that SU floursish die cut, too.  It's so dainty.  Thanks, so much!  I love it!  :)

This beautiful card is from Kim Prince.   The flowers are gorgeous and I adore the butterflies, my friends all know how obsessed I am with them!  lol  :)  Thanks so much, Kim. I love it, too!

I'll be back soon with more to share.  Stay tuned...
