My little Easter bunnies on the run...

Happy Easter, Everyone! I had to throw in a few pics of my little Easter Bunnies. They had a great time looking for chocolate eggs and are thrilled with the princess dolls that the Easter Bunny brought them! They've been playing with them all day, dressing them up in different outfits and playing with their princess castle. Looks like I have to cut Natalia's bangs again today... they just seem to grow overnight! I think we'll donate her hair soon to 'Wigs for Kids,' as well. We donated 17 inches of Alexandria's hair last Summer. Their hair grows so fast. It's such a good cause to give to, to make real hair wigs for children that lose their hair from Cancer treatments. Alex is so proud that she was able to help another child to look 'pretty' again.

Thanks for stopping by! Hope everyone is having a wonderful Easter weekend and enjoying special time with your loved ones.

A Maze Book for Craig

This is the maze book that I came up with last night for our friend, Craig to take on the ship with him when he goes sailing. Just a few little pictures of his newborn girl to enjoy while he's away from her. Craig is a great Daddy, I know he'll carry this little book around with him to brag about 'Daddy's Little Girl.' :) I tired to keep it as masculine as I could, so he wouldn't be embarrassed carrying it around. It took a lot for me not to add pink to it! lol :)

I used the template that I found on CraftTVWeekly for their Maze Book. You can watch a full video of the project, plus download the whole illustrated tutorial of the same project. Just click on the link below the video window that says 'Download Design Guide' and you can save a copy using Adobe Reader. What a wonderful site for tutorials. I love them! :) You've gotta check them out!

I made this little maze book last night while my youngest daughter was up til 11:55 PM! Yes, she was more wired than I can explain. Excited for the Easter Bunny coming, I guess. Oh my goodness the rambling!!! Finally, I tried putting her to sleep again and when I put her in her bed for the last time, she was sound asleep in about 1 minute, flat!

Faux scalloped circle punch technique

I got in some crafty time tonight and I thought I would try out a faux scalloped circle punch technique that I had seen on a blog a while back. Don't look too close... I kinda made a mess with the glue. I ran out of double-sided tape and had to use my SU two-way glue, which I normally love, but for this, I think I'd rather use the double-sided tape to prevent the glue from oozing out the sides. I used my SU slit punch and punched out a bunch of little half circles and glued them all the back edge of the orange circle.

Well, it's time for bed. Gotta get in a few hours of sleep before the a long day planned for tomorrow starts. I'll be back in my craft room in Saturday.

Happy Easter everyone, hope the Easter Bunny finds you all! :)

A bit more productive...

Tonight the girls (Diana, Jamie) and I headed over to Kelly's place to stamp. A great night and I actually got 2 cards done tonight! A lot less chatting than the night before, but a great night. Tonight was the first time I'd met Jamie, a friend of Diana's, she's very nice and a wonderful scrapbooker and cardmaker. We didn't make it as late if a night, as I have to work early in the morning again, and wanted to get home to quickly post my creations and off to sleep. Yeah, well a little detour. I hadn't quite finished the 2nd card at Kelly's, but all the way home it bothered me that I hadn't finished it, so I came home and quickly watercoloured the flower and cut it out. Yeah, I still need to practice watercolouring with these new watercolour pens, so far I'm just not happy with them. Plus, the fact that I forgot to use the watercolour paper...oops...hense the bleeding of the ink. I'm sure I'll end up doing the flower over again and fixing the card, anyway this is what I came up with tonight.

I also received this card in the mail today from Toni Whitnell. She does simply amazing work and it's always a pleasure to get one of her cards in the mail. This one was actually a giveaway she had done on her blog and I won! :) Check out her site for some wonderful inspiration! This card is basically like the card that I CASE'd off of Tracy a few posts back, but Toni didn't use a closure. I really like it both ways. I kinda wondered if a person wasn't a cardmaker, aware of that style of card, would they know to un-do the ribbon. I probably wouldn't have... lol :)

Time to call it a day, gonna be a long day tomorrow. I'll likely get back into my craft room on Thursday night, so until then...

A relaxing night at Diana's

Yup, it's way too late again and I should be sleeping, but I had to come home and upload the pic of the 'one' card that I got done at Diana's tonight. lol :) Not a very productive card making night, but we had a nice time drinking coffee and chatting. I did manage to get one card made, just so that when I got home, Jim wouldn't ask me, "So, why did you go over then, when you could have just talked on the phone?" It's all about getting out, though, isn't it. Anyway, it was nice to get together with Diana and Jennifer and just relax without all of our little ones running around like they normally do while we're all together.

But, I have to go to bed, my alarm clock will be going off in 5 hours, Ahhh! I hope that's enough time to get rid of these tired, bloodshot eyes...I guess Catherine can let me know at pre-school in the morning! lol :)

And the Winner is...

Thanks so much everyone! I've been given so many ideas for the Little Accordion Folders that I may have to make several now! :) Again, so much to to stamp and create and so little time...

Well, I'm gonna announce the winner, then I'm off to grab some groceries and afterwards I'm heading over to stamp at my friend Diana's house tonight. I'm going through a bit of stampin' withdrawal since I didn't get to stamp all weekend as I was working. The event went very well, though! They brought in over $282,000!! So many generous people giving to such a worthy cause!

So, the winner of my latest little assortment of blog candy is DOVERDI! If you could email me your snail mail addy, I'll get that right out to you! :)

Happy creating everyone, I'm flying out the door right now to go do some of that myself!

Thanks for stopping by!

Blog Candy Picture

The goodies will include a card made by me (not shown),
a package of bling gems,
a package of Spring flower embellishments
and 3 packages of pewter embellishments: Baby theme, birthday theme and flowers theme.

Sorry this isn't the best picture, but I've worked 20 hours in the past 2 days and I'm beat and in no mode to fiddle with my miserable camera that causing me problems lately. We sooo need a new camera! :( I just got home from work and it's midnight... that's my pity trip! lol :) Oh well, more money to buy stamps with! I've been working with Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Greater Halifax. I'm just helping them out for a few weeks with their annual fundraising 'Bowl for Kids Sake' event. It's been a lot of fun, they have a Mardi Gras theme this year, and a great bunch of people to work with. What a wonderful organization. Since yesterday, they've raised $265, 000 in pledges. Yup, I have goosebumps! And, we still have tomorrow left for the bowling event. They'll be able to help so many kids! It's so exciting! :)

Well, I just wanted to post the pic of the goodies I found tonight on my lunch break. The bowling alley is inside a mall, how convenient was that! These are the few little thank you goodies that you could win by posting a comment to my plea for ideas for the small accordion file from a few posts down. Lots of great ideas so far, but you still have until Sunday night to post comments and I'll make the draw on Monday morning.

I'm heading off to sleep before I have to look at the multitudes of numbers again in a few hours...

Nighty, night and thanks for stopping by!
