Love, Honor and Cherish

A friend of mine is getting married in two weeks, and I wanted to make a card for her for her special day. I wish them all the best on their day and wish them a wonderful, long and happy life together. I'm sure you know who you are...I'll share with you all later. :)

With Sympathy

Another sympathy card in a couple of days, this one is in English, though. All the same supplies as earlier, except the 'With Sympathy' comes from Impression Obsession clear rubber stamp set, Greetings Galore. I also used a different stamp from the IO Bold Florals set this time.

More Dollarama Finds...

OK, so I lost all control at the Dollarama today...I had to go back and do a little more shoppin' therapy after a rough day with the kids. I think they're missing their Dad...seems like a week into his trip to sea, they always start to act a little whacky and act up something terrible to blow off steam, I guess. Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day. :)

So, this is what I got today...

Check out these Rhinestone Brads! I got them in clear, pink, blue, green and purple!

Yup, got some more ribbon...saw some sequin ribbon today, too and I thought it was pretty. I'll have to think about what I'm gonna use it for...

I never thought much of these crystal stickers before, but I've seen a lot of cards done with them lately and I actually like them, so I broke down and bought some. I thought the alpha stickers were kinda cool. Not sure how I'm gonna use them yet, though.

More chipboard frames and tags. I know some of these I likely wouldn't use, but it doesn't mean that I can't alter them with some pretty patterned paper! lol :)

Look at these gorgeous brads...wouldn't they be nice for a wedding card? I also got some jumbo brads in pastels and natural tones.

And, some more alphabet chipboard.

So, that concludes my shoppin' therapy session for today..yup, I feel much better, now! lol :)

My Sympathies

My friend, Diana asked me if I could make a sympathy card for her to give to her friend, whose Mother just passed away. Her friend only speaks Spanish, so I found a nice Calligraphy font online and printed the text off onto cardstock. 'Mis Condolencias' translates to My Sympathies or My Condolences.

A bit of Shoppin' Therapy

Ok, Girls, you must RUN, not walk to your nearest Dollarama! It's been a while since I've ventured in, and I was thrilled today at my little trip there...can you say, Confessions from a Ribbon Addict! lol :) As well as Chipboard Alphas and Tags, some Pewter Embellies and some sweet little Handmade Embossed Stickers. Score!!! :) I was a very happy gal!

Can we say 'personalized altered journals' with those glittery clipboard alpha's and how cute are those chipboard tags and frames?

I already have some of these, but hey, they're pewter and they're pretty embellies...so I needed more! lol :)

I thought these handmade embossed stickers were just too cute for anything. Look at the little ladybugs, they're made of a clay like material...very cute!

CCE and a Couple RAKs'

Today was a happy mail day. I received a beautiful CCE (Canadian Card Exchange) card for Sept from Jean Bircham and two more beautiful RAK (Random Act of Kindness) cards from Jo Oostrom and Dorothy Cummer. I actually received the one from Dorothy a few days ago, but have been having issues trying to get a proper pic of it with the acetate...my camera doesn't seem to want to photograph it. Yes, that's it, it's my camera's fault, not mine! lol :)

This first one is from Jean Bircham. How cute is this ballerina mouse? :) My daughter's really like this one, they've been twirling around all afternoon! lol :) I'm sorry about the bad pic again...I've taken about a dozen pics of this card, but the plum cs just doesn't want to photograph well. Yes...my camera's fault again! :) Love the Cuttlebuggin' action going on here!

This second card is from Jo Oostrom. These are two of my favourite colours! I really like the tags, very nice layout. I like how she added the tags to the matted side strip. More Cuttlebug Action on the go here. Love it! I also like the little green metal bar embellie that Jo added the side.

This third card is from Dorothy Cummer. I really wish you could see this card better . I love the effect of the clear acetate over the stamped Santa. Dorothy also used her Cuttlebug on the acetate with the d'Vine Swirls embossing folder. My girls saw this one and were 'Extremely' excited, unfortunately the reason why is cause they thought it was Christmas already! Yeah, I'm not ready for that yet! lol :) I haven't started any Xmas cards yet. I'll have to get started on those soon, though.
In case you're wondering, these three ladies are all a part of the Cuttlebug Swap that I'm hosting right now, but none of these cards are the same as the ones that they've made for the swap, so I'm not spoiling the surprise for you! The swap cards are all due in my hands on Friday, so I'll post pics of the gorgeous creations that I've received after the cards have all gone postal. They're some really great ideas...can't wait to share them with you all!

Well, I have to go finish my cards for the Cuttlebug swap. I worked like a mad woman on them last night and now I just have to assemble them all. Again, I'll post my design next week for you all to see.

Balloon Gladiator

This pic, I call, Our Balloon Gladiator! lol :)I thought I would share this funny pic of my oldest daughter this morning playing with the balloons that our friends made last night at our friends birthday party. We had a great time and the kids had a blast. Anytime that balloons are involved is always a good time in their eyes! I feel bad about all the balloons that the girls had the guys blowing up though. If you've ever tried to blow those long ballons up, it isn't an easy task...you can easy blow a gasket! lol :)
