My New Ribbon Holder Toolbox

Here's my cool new ribbon holder toolbox! I've been sharing with my Mum lately about my ribbon holder dilema and she surprised me yesterday with one of the ribbon holders that my cousin uses for scrapbooking. I'm so excited, I was able to fit 47 different ribbons in it! It's so cute! You all know of my love of ribbon, now I have it all in a little case that's easy to transport and easy to get at each. Each side container unsnaps if you want, so you could just take a few colours with you, if you wanted. Then, the door to that five compartments opens to reveal all your ribbons. The top cover comes off that has another tray that has six compartments as you can see in the top view pic. You can also remove this tray to an open center to add more ribbon or goodies. It took a while last night to unroll all my ribbons, but I love love love this new set up. If anyone's interested, she bought this at Wal-Mart. Not sure of the cost, as it was a present, but I'm sure they're probably reasonably priced. I'd highly recommend this product!!! :)

What a fab mom....my mom surprised me with an ATG gun a month or so ago. What a neat storage system...you better make a thank you card with lots of ribbons for your generous mom!

Well, I picked one of those up last week at Wal-Mart in Guelph and it was $5.29. I never thought of using it for ribbon, but I will now. Thanks for sharing this terrific idea. I'm going to link your blog on mine, now. www.barbscardcreations.blogspot.com Check it out, if you like.

My MIL bought one of these to use for bead storage and when she upgraded to something else she gave it to me. It's been sitting downstairs unused since I have too many beads to put in it, but thanks for a great usage idea!

One note to mention though, the one mom gave me had an issue with staying closed (only one compartment). The same section also wouldn't stay on, and eventually the piece where it attaches stopped holding it altogether.

Not a bad idea to test the box you're planning to get to make sure the closures work before you get it home.. run into the same issue with scrapbooking paper storage.. ;)

Wow! I could use one of those. What department at Wal-Mart do you find these? TFS!

Hi Rita,

They'd be located in the craft section. It's for beads, but it also says on it for use with scrapbooking or rubber stamping. It could be used for holding anything, but I'm so happy with the way it holds all my ribbon. Thanks again Mum! You're the best! :)

Hugs,
Julie
