The colours in this card were inspired by a colour challenge over on Capture the Moment. Nichole's company, PaperTrey Ink has the most beautiful colours of cardstock, however, I don't own any. I guess I've always looked at them in awe, but thought, oh, it would probably cost an arm and a leg for shipping, so I tend to buy my cardstock locally. I'd love to get my crafty fingers on some of their colours, though! lol :) The winner of this colour challenge will win a year supply (510 sheets in total) of PTI cardstock! Can you imagine the excitement! OMG, I'd be ecstatic! I can dream, can't I? lol :)Dang scanner again. Can anyone tell me why it's making my top layer of cardstock a different, brighter shade of yellow than the other layers? Is there something that I'm doing wrong with the scanning? Please, shed some light to a scanner virgin! lol :)

Beautiful card, Julie.... I gave up on my scanner and now only take photos of my cards... scanner always wanted to do something weird to my creations...

I sometimes have the same problem when I scan and I drap a dark towel over my scanner and that usually works to even the colors out.

I'm with Lynn and the others on the fact that it is a beautiful card. As for the scanner problem Lynn has the right idea. What is probably happening because you card is 3D (the knot on the bow at least) your scanner cover is not closing all the way and it is letting light in which changes the colour of the base layers (makes them look darker. I either use a dark towel over the scanner cover or I have the bottom of a box I cut up (same size as scanner lid and about an inch high) that I put over the item so I don't smash it into the scanner glass and lose dimension. Then drape the dark towel. Kinda long comment but hope it helps you out.
