My first floral arrangement

Well, it's starting to get colder here, so I figured I had better bring in my pretty plant before the cold kills it. That left my newly painted porch with an empty corner, so I thought I'd try my hand at making my own floral arrangement...this is my first one ever, so don't laugh! I really kinda like it, but does it need something else or does it look ok? I need opinions, I'm about as far from a Florist as you can get! lol :)

I bought the flowers at Michaels today, most of their floral dept is 50% off so I got a really good deal, then I used a 50% off coupon for the dark brown ceramic vase. A screamin' deal if I do say so myself! lol :)

Well, I'm gonna finish watching the Season Premier of Grey's Anatomy and then call it a day.

Thanks for stoppin' by! :)

You asked, so here is my opinion. Of course it is your arrangment so remember to do what YOU like! I would swap the large flower on the left with most of the small flowers that are center, top. Then take the other large flower and shorten it a little more than it's height (if flower is 4", then shorten the stem 5" or so) and move it to front just right of center. Hopefully you can just bend the stem instead of cutting because if you don't like it, it is much easier to change back! I love the flowers you chose. And, yes, I have worked as a floral designer so my recommendation has some training behind it. ;) It's a lot harder to do this without touching the flowers and also, I can't see the pic. when I am on the comment page!! Have a great day.

Julie,
Just got your comment on my blog about Piper, Willow, and Tucker. It is kind of nice to know someone goes back and reads old posts! I figured that no one went past the first post, however when I find someones blog I love to go back and learn more about them. It is funny you look a lot like Tanya on Tanya's Stamp N Things blog.
I just happend to want to comment on your floral arraingement because it reminded me of my neighbor who does all types of crafting including Floral arraingements. Our State Fair is in our town, and last year for the first year she entered about every category Floral, Photography, Cooking and Baking and several others. She took 1st (blue ribbons in all most everything she did. She is a regular Martha Stewart. So the really funny thing is here I come to your blog and she has already been here and left a comment on your arraingement! Small Small world we live in! Tasha is really good with flowers a a very sweet gal, and she just becaome my newest SU downline last night. I think it is funny we both found your blog and decided to leave comments on the same post!

Your girls are precious too!

Well I am off to read more of you blog!

I really hope your Daughter is O.K. I am an RN so I understand. I have never seen a 105 fever in my kids I would be freaking too! I have had 104, but never 105, Drop by and give me an update when she is doing better or you find out what is wrong. I hope it is just one of those nasty viruses that cause them to run rediculously high fevers!

Take Care and God Bless!

Heather

I also took some time to watch your running slide showes. I love your wonderful creativity! I have got to get me a cuttlebug now! I asume that is what you use for all your dry embossing on your cards?
