Happy New Year!

We had a quiet night for New Year’s Eve, but we did take the girls out sledding in the pitch black and they had a ton of fun, with just a campfire and flashlight to light the way. Jim and my Father-in-Law took the girls to the woods yesterday and made a campfire and had cookies and made hot chocolate over the open fire. It’s something they always love doing when we go up there. They got home and we got them showered up quick to freshen them up from the smell of wood smoke and we took off for our friend, Amanda’s place, for another big turkey and ham dinner with their family. Delish!

After supper, all 17 of us there got ready and we went out for a horse-drawn sleigh ride. We had a lot of fun, it was –10C outside and very windy with blowing snow, but once we got through the field to the trail through the woods, it was nicely sheltered and it was a beautiful ride in the moonlight. The girls were absolutely thrilled ‘cause they got to steer the horses the whole time we were in the woods. I’m sure they’ll be talking about that for months! lol :)

We’re on our way back home now, so back to routine soon and back to my crafty space. Yippee! I’ll get to play with some new stampin’ goodies that I got today in Moncton at Stamper’s Den. I got a beautiful flower stamp and more flourishes. I'm sure you're all proud of me that I didn’t buy another butterfly…believe me, I debated with myself over my purchase, but I finalized on the flower and flourishes. lol My next card will be made using this flower, so stay tuned.

Well, it doesn’t look like I’m gonna have any luck getting onto an unsecured wireless network connection as most people around here are secured or if I can get on, I only get a couple of bars and the connection is so slow that it takes forever to navigate around…very frustrating! lol Oh well, I’ll wait to post this when I get home. Unfortunately, I think that’ll have to be after we clean out the driveway of all the snow that we heard Nova Scotia got while we were away. Apparently, we missed quite a little blizzard…maybe our neighbour’s were nice and shoveled us out…ya think? lol :)

Well, we just got home at 10 PM, got the kiddies off to bed, unloaded the car and put most of the stuff away, now to relax a bit before bed. A wonderful person shovelled out our driveway, kinda thinkin' it was our neighbour, we were mighty thankful for that. Didn't really feel like shovelling the 30 cms of snow tonight! Ya gotta love great neighbours! OK, I'm callin' it a day! I'll be back soon with a crafty project to show you. :)

Thanks for stoppin’ by! :)
