Sick little girl...

Please keep our youngest daughter, Natalia (she'll be 5 years old next month) in your thoughts. We took her to the local children's hospital last night and after some tests they discovered that she has a urinary tract infection. Her temp has been up to 40.8 C or 105.44 F for three days now. It started with off with her throwing up two nights ago and then it progressed to her having to pee constantly and uncontrollably. I knew something was wrong.Her temp is currently down to 39.5 C now, so hopefully it will continue to go down and she'll be able to get some sleep. She hasn't eaten anything in two days and hardly drinks anything. I keep trying to get her to drink as I don't want her to get dehydrated, as well.

But, it's pretty scary as I've never seen a temperature that high with either of my girls. I've been trying my hardest to keep it under the control and praying that the antibiotics that they gave her will kick in very soon. They're nothing worse than seeing your little one sick. I feel so helpless when they're like this.

Well, gotta go check on her again. Just thought I'd ask for a couple prayers out there...

Thanks for stoppin' by! :)

Julie, I am sending good thoughts your way....poor little thing...that is a really high fever. Let's hope it does stay down tonight and the meds kick in. UTI's are horrible!
Hugs,
Kim

Just a little update here. A few minutes before we were to go and change the cloths we had cooling her down, she appears at the top of the stairs wondering if she can watch the Diego movie that we promised earlier in the day that she could watch.

Three movies later, a banana, glass of milk and three pieces of cheese, off to bed again. Last temp was 38.5 and dropping. Happy as pie to go back to bed.

Fever seems to have broke and she's all good to go again. :)

Poor Talie, she looks so sick in that photo, poor sweetie, her face looks so hot and she looks so miserable... I hope she starts feeling better and soon.. .. hmmm....

Try to get some rest Julie, I will be free on Sunday, do you want me to babysit for a couple of hours and you can do what ever, sleep.. groceries? I won't bring my monkeys along but I can at least do that, get Darius to drop me off and he can take these crazy monkeys to a park near by.

* hugs *
