Some Blog Candy for an idea...
I'm nearly at 3,000 hits, so I thought I would give away another little thank you blog candy to my readers.
This little assortment includes:
~a package of assorted colour tags,
~a little 13 page book to alter,
~a package of button quote stickers and
~a pretty fabric tag.
In your comment, I'm asking for ideas on where I can find some nice images for using in the corners of recipe cards. I'm re-doing some of my favourite recipes and I'm having trouble finding food/produce/dessert/canning etc. stamps that I like. A lot of them just don't appeal to me. So if you could steer me in the right direction, I'd appreciate it! I'm also open to the idea of just using clip art, if the image was nice...and free!
Thanks so much for your help, you guys always come through! I'll leave this open until Wednesday night and announce a winner on Thursday morning.

Have you seen the set in the Stampin' Up catalogue called "What's for dinner"? It is on page 92.
I really don't have any suggestions for "food" type stamps. I did a search for food clip arts and this site looks promising http://www.freeclipartpictures.com/I like the images that they offer as clip art since they are really realistic. You could even take pics from magazines and collage them into your project. Good luck.
Try Las Vegas stamps they have everything and more. Shipping is reasonable also. SU also has a set it just might work
Hi!
Here's a free dingbat font with nice fruit & veggies:

Julie - I have absolute no ideas but came to look as I am looking at doing a recipe tin for my future MIL for Mother's Day and I need these ideas as well.
I joined a recipe book swap and you don't _need_ food images for them all.. but you can certainly find them almost anywhere. I am partial to SU! but that is for obvious reasons. Ha! (Nice blog, btw!)
(Hi, my name is Corinna and I got your blog addy from CST)
Even Microsoft Word's site has some functional clipart...I have used some of them for dinner invites!

There's lots here (and it would save you the expense of a stamp set you may not use again!
Hello! I made my recipe cards with the Stampin Up recipe card stamps. They are really cute. Thanks!

I picked up an older Stampin Up set "Recipe Fun" at a yard sale recently and look forward to using that. There are some cute fruit stamp sets, but other than that....I don't know. Good Luck. Post some pics when you're through.
I too like the "What's for Dinner" set. A friend of mine has it and she used it on some cards for a recipe shower. Good luck with your search.

You might get some inexpensive ideas by browsing thru your local thrift shop. For projects such as yours, I might buy inexpensive cookbooks, recipe cards, food magazines, etc. as when I get them cheap I don't mind cutting them up. Punches sometimes make cute diecuts...ie a circle punch could make cherries, grapes, an apple, a pie. Have fun with your creations:) Linda SS
There is free clip art at this site: http://www.pccrafter.com/welcome/
but there is also a download you can also purchase for $4.95 that is called RETRO KITCHEN.

This download set is so cute complete with borders that look like apron prints or table cloth prints. Almost makes me want to cook....nah....
I have to agree with the SU sets. I did see some whimsical ones at A-Muse Stamps.....
Try teacher stores to look at primary teachers'workbooks, idea books, stickers, and many other items that might have some good ides. Be sure to look in phonic workbooks. Just a thought.
